15 Essential Oil Blends for Diffuser Bracelets and Free Printable

I love diffusing essential oils!

But it’s not always possible to use a diffuser.

When I can’t diffuse, I turn to other simple ways to enjoy the aromatic benefits of essential oils, such as roller bottle blends or diffuser jewelry. A diffuser bracelet is one of my favorite portable options because it’s discreet, easy to use, and keeps your favorite scents with you throughout the day.

What is an essential oil diffuser bracelet?

A diffuser bracelet is simply a bracelet made from porous or absorbent materials that hold and slowly release essential oils. Common materials include leather, felt, wool, cotton, lava rock, terracotta, air-dry clay, and other natural fibers. These materials trap a few drops of oil and allow the scent to diffuse gently into the air around you.

How to use a diffuser bracelet

To use a diffuser bracelet, apply a few drops of your chosen essential oil to the soft or porous part of the bracelet—often the underside or an included absorbent pad. Most essential oil scents last about 2–3 days on a bracelet before needing reapplication. If you want to switch blends, wait a couple of days for the first scent to fade, then apply the new combination.

The aroma will diffuse slowly as you wear the bracelet. For a quick, stronger inhalation, simply lift the bracelet close to your nose and breathe deeply.

The recipes below are written using 4–5 drops total. For most bracelets I use only 2–3 drops and find that plenty. You can apply recipes as-is, cut them in half, or make up larger batches to refill an empty essential oil bottle for convenience.

To make a larger batch: add ten times each oil amount to an empty bottle (for example, if a recipe calls for 1 drop, add 10 drops; if it calls for 2 drops, add 20). Shake well to combine, and then apply 2–3 drops of your custom blend to the bracelet when needed. With reapplication every 2–3 days, a small bottle should last roughly 6–8 weeks.
