Get to Know Us Better

As the year closes, I like to pause and reflect. This annual check-in shares what we accomplished, what surprised us, and what we’re excited to try next. It’s a chance to connect and be transparent about both the wins and the challenges of running a family and a small business that centers on cannabis and wellness.

One milestone I’m proud of is finishing season one of the Well With Cannabis podcast. The season finale feels like a meaningful checkpoint — a moment to celebrate conversations we’ve had and the growth that followed.

Over the season we recorded nearly 60 episodes and listened to more than 12,000 downloads. I interviewed a wide range of guests who brought thoughtful perspectives on using cannabis as part of a balanced, healthy life. Not every episode went perfectly — some recordings finished long before they were published — but the journey has been deeply rewarding.

So what’s next for the podcast? I’m choosing to pause for now. I want the next season to feel more relaxed and conversational, and I’m waiting until I’m truly inspired to resume. That pause is intentional; it gives me room to regroup and come back with fresh ideas that will serve our listeners better.

This year also marked my second anniversary of stepping back from social media. Leaving that space behind has been a gift — a quieter rhythm and improved mental health. It’s given me the space to focus on the website and on meaningful, direct ways to connect with readers and listeners.

Our site continues to perform well, drawing a steady stream of visitors every month. My newsletter remains the most personal way I share updates, ideas, and useful resources with the community who wants the deeper, less noisy versions of what we’re doing.

At home, life is busy in the best possible way. Ransom is nine and Ronan is two — they keep us on our toes and remind us why we do this work. I’m grateful to balance being a stay-at-home parent and running a small, home-based business focused on family and cannabis wellness.

2023 Fun Facts

• These images were shot in our backyard. Our sons are the fifth generation to live on this property.
• We grew just four cannabis plants outdoors this year. That small number suits our needs and keeps cultivation manageable.
• Our compact team remains steady and committed, with important support from Phil and our Chief Happiness Officer, Renee.
• The Well With Cannabis Community continues to grow and now includes thousands of members who share ideas, support, and resources.
• We launched a new local venture, RR Kyle Properties, expanding how we invest time and energy as a family.

Looking toward 2024, I’m planning a thoughtful return to social media with a new focus: building a brand that reflects our family values and the practical, daily role cannabis plays in our lives. After two years of limited public presence, I feel refreshed and ready to grow more visible again while protecting the privacy and well-being of our children.

My long-term vision is to normalize and celebrate responsible, holistic cannabis use in everyday life. I hope to share honest, practical examples of how cannabis helps with wellness and to build resources that are approachable for other parents, caregivers, and curious readers.

We’re planning a big family trip overseas next year — a chance to explore, learn, and recharge. I’ll share details when plans firm up. In the meantime, I welcome your feedback.
